Overall this is a really nice still life photo, the composition is good and the use of black and white works well. Now in all honesty though it is far to bright for a low key photo. Darkening the entire image would have made it work well, cause you already have some shadowing its just to bright for this challenge.
Your focus is very good and strong and makes the photo work, it just didn't work with this challenge.

Very orginal idea. I do agree its fantastic in the fact that you don't have any glare. I do see a distracting element in it that can easily be gotten rid of the rocks add a nice touch and a little charm to it but that purple wild flower screams crop me out all I do is distract from the broken mirror.
Other than that little flower the photo is really good. Definately meets the challenge. Well done.

Back In Timeby autoolComment by mci: i think a detail of this tool without the book and with some more contrast and darker background would look a lot better. this seems a little cluttered, and also mostly filled with grays and not a lot of contrast.4. |

...and we have a picture window, too!by autoolComment by kiwiness: Good use of natural framing, although I think there is a bit too much of the inside of the room compared to the actual main subject which is the country outside. Amazing contrasts between dark and light, I know how difficult it is to shoot from a dark room into the light, well done - 8. |
