img992_1by daisydavidComment by HarveyG: You've crammed how many lines per mm/inch into 800px? Sacrilege! :) And that on a $5500 rangefinder. Yikes! This needs to be uploaded in at least 1920px. Would be nice to see how that film copes with such a range of tones. Great scene to get so much in and still be a pleasant, thoughtful, lead-in lines and contrasts.

img989_2by daisydavidComment by HarveyG: Doesn't get better than that. Besides the nostalgia us "old" 'togs feel for it, there's just a simplicity of the scene and the film characteristics. Took you half a day from start to finish and me 90 seconds to sum it up. Critics! |

img008by daisydavidComment by daisydavid: All my color film is now done by a lab (but I do my own b&w). I used to do the positive slide film but the processing was tricky, not healthy and the chemicals went off quickly. This was CS5 processed to sharpen and spot only, the color negative scan is 413 MB @ 4800dpi. I find the expired fuji films very sensitive to green/blue saturation, while the warmer hues tend to be more realistic but still can have a blue pull to them.

img989_2by daisydavidComment by daisydavid: Yes, it is from the same roll. I usually do process the film scans in CS5 to some extent. This one in particular was very much high contrast and had Nik Silver FX pro and the Guy Gowan Process 5 action applied. So it has had a fair bit of work ;) |
