I gave this top mark which was 8, no one got higher than an 8 in this challenge, thought it was a fantastic image. The shadow just reminded me of a Princess Druid. I wanted to let you know I got a story from your photo.

This is fun to look through and imagine what is really going on. It would be interesting to know what story the different viewers would attach to the images. The last two burry shots are beautiful and I love the deer head.

John, this was very interesting and enjoyable to view for me. As you probably know, the fates somehow, probably drunkenly, decided to navigate me into a career as a wedding photographer so i find myself wearing two hats whilst viewing your essay. I think it was is great - and it reminds the wedding photographer hat that it's ok to let go sometimes - embrace the blur, the grain, the emotion and the art. The first half, with its harsh, directional light and sharpness is really good. The words work perfectly throughout. It's the second half that i'm particularly enamoured by, as it's the sort of thing which i've rarely allowed myself the courage to delve into. Lovely to look and and inspiring. Cheers.

Finally, a collection of wedding images (well, pre wedding) that I love.

I seconds that. This also looks like a wedding that I just might not have loathed attending. I reckon that later one might spot Cleaver Green weaving among the guests, holding an opened bottle of bubbles and chatting up the bridesmaids.

My favourite moment was the "Love is the smoke ..."

If I were a bride I'd definitely ask you to do the pictures. Maybe the cake as well. And of course the seating plan. And I'd throw you my garter.

I love the unfiltered and unpolished presentation of what is usually quite the opposite with such events. The Shakespearean quotes added another, more intellectual, angle to the scenes. The way the initial hectic scenes transform into a dreamlike flashbacks may be representative of how the bride may retrospect this whole thing. The first image is, well, a killer in so many levels. Thank you.

Fascinating juxtaposition of words, images, and emotions. The series moves me through quirky emotions leading to a final assurance of winged expectation of love's ascendence. We'll see, won't we?

Very unusual pictures of a wedding. They give me more the feeling to watch actors before they are entering a stage. the Shakespeares quotes add to that feeling maybe.
Extremely interesting to watch your essay - thanks!

Posthumous summed up my feelings in words I can̢۪t match.

For some reason, your photographs with superimposed quoted text remind me of Roy Lichtenstein’s work. His paintings were parodies based on comic strips. Your essay, candid wedding moments, is deeper and more personal — full of pessimism and doubt, or so it seems, until the images blur and worries melt away. I enjoyed this unexpected turn in the story.

I̢۪m still not sure about text on images but it was an effective way to tell your story. As always, I enjoyed your work and you̢۪ve opened my eyes to some new possibilities.
