My favourite photograph in the challenge. I think it's a photograph that can only be taken with a cell phone camera. I know that's not literally true; any clever manipulator could make a 'real' photograph look nearly this good in post, but this one just has the honesty of the real thing. It's a question of attitude, and your photograph has it. Plus it's a terrific composition and a very good, simple idea about the incidental relationship of one thing with another. Nice dog, too. Please give him (her?) this Order of the Thumb, and a biscuit. Thank you.

At first glance I wasn't sure I liked this image much, but as I sat with the image it really grew on me. The processing really works for me. I really liked the color and texture of the water, and the tangle of branches made for a pleasing, yet defined, composition.

I am little less sure about how well this image met my original interpretation of the challenge of 'find a subject' that shows organic geometry. The sticks seem like multiple subjects, and I'm not sure how much geometry I see in the water.

But overall I still really like the image and I think it's a creative twist on the challenge.
