Man, in light of the recent events, this picture is especially precious. I haven't been to the Big Easy in many years, but the timelessness of it will remain in spirit despite many of it's missing buildings and souls. I did hear that alot of the French Quarter made it through, though. I love the mood this evokes, especially in the rain. The tinge of green is very effective. Great detailing! Sometimes I think about my old 35mm camera!

Very nice b/w. Excellent tonal range. I love the lighting and how it brings out the textures on the stones. I find the crop interesting, my eye is drawn to many things at once, which I don't find to be a bad thing. Maybe another crop focusing on one aspect of the stones (height, mass, texture, curve, etc) would have more impact, maybe not. Overall I like it.
