I would thank everyone for their votes and comments.
I should explain that the morning of this picture I had just driven through the thickest fog I have seen in years, yet the sun was blazing through and made it nigh impossible to avoid it looking like blow-out.
The sky was actually as it seems in the picture.I don't know if I could fit a gradient filter on my lens but the suggestion seems to be the only answer.

Good shot, nicely framed and thought out. Once again though a bland sky lets the image down. I would crop out the sky, down to the top of the first hill on the right. You would loose most of the bland sky without loosing the main interest and focus of the image.
