this is a nice action photo. i like the diagonal tilt in the surfer's body. the waves are vilent, and gives hte picture a man vs nature look.. but there is some blur in the image, i wish you could have used a faster shutter speed..good work, keep shooting

Hey Harvey , Dont'cha just LOVE St. Michaels ! It's gotta be one of the most photogenic places around . My family lives in Md. & St. Michaels is always on the list , can't wait till next trip when I get to take the D70 .

Maybe if there were less distracting details this would be successful. I would suggest cropping the edge on the right to include only the street and some of the tree (which can't be helped), and cropping the bottom to exclude the parking lot.

This is a great capture, I usually only see them eat very little fish which dont tend to show up in the shots
The lighting and fine detail feathers are very good here also, it looks slightly grainy, maybe is a lil oversharp, but the clarity and light on the eye and beak are very good.
