Sunday Seclusionby melongrindComment by DCThiessen: I really like this picture! Aside from the perfect compositon and excellent color toning, the bed of leaves she is sitting on make this photo come to life. Very nice entry indeed. |

Human Glaciersby melongrindComment by melongrind: Thanks for the comments..... One thing I must say is that the "T.O." makes more sense to locals. "T dot O dot" is how most refer to Toronto.
The title "Human Glaciers" refers to how humans run through this land and build and alter the landscape. |

Human Glaciersby melongrindComment by Neuferland: This shot has brought me back to look at least 6 times before leaving a comment. When I first saw it the T.O. in the back was extremely distracting, completely took me away from the wall colors. But as I came back each time it became less and less because I was expecting it I guess. It almost looks like it was added in after the shot but again, looking closer you can tell it's not. As for the shot itself, I like the cropping, the way the shot rises from bottom to top, drawing you in and taking you along the wall. The colors are wonderful though the overall shot is just a tad dark for my taste. Score is going up at least 5 points on this one, well done. |

Human Glaciersby melongrindComment by piwoguy: So close to being my top photo for this week. Nice color, not a superficial image - it actually has that quality that makes me pause to think. Nice job with the theme. What barely stopped it from being my top photo was the slight blur in the background. I'd rather it be either all clear and crisp, or have a more obvious gradual blur into the background. |

Human Glaciersby melongrindComment by LucidLotus: I have to admit I'm not sure what the title is referring to - I'm guessing humans dropping bits of trash as they go like glaciers did/do with rocks 'n the like. Could be wrong. Regardless, I love the colors from the painting on the wall and the different perspective on buildings. I think it fits the challenge well with a unique view. 7 |
