Lessons? Who needs lessons?by KelliComment by bmartuch: Kelli, my personal opinion is that you got robbed. I love the starkness of the contrast and only B&W would work here. You've completely eliminated the background. I would have given this a 7 but I didn't vote in this challenge. Message edited by author 2007-02-21 08:32:15. |

Boxed in by Giantsby KelliComment by Man_Called_Horse: What Giants? All I see is a pink and green bg.
This is a cute portrait. Lovely child. However, I am not convinced that this is a street photo. I am not saying DNMC, but, for all the image shows is that this could of been taken in the front porch of some igloo.
Good comp, nice color, nice lighting but the color temp is mixed from your flash and the tungsten light. Mixing color temp isn't nessisarilly (sp) bad, because of the imperfect world we live in. The heavy shadow under her chin is not desireable. Nice portraiture. Texture ok. No eye movement.
Keep going, try again. |

A little slice of sunshineby KelliComment by noraneko: I love this shot. I gave it a 7, and am surprised you didn't score higher. The texture and backlighting is great. I suspect Bob is right that the voters wanted just a little more sharpness, but I still think you got robbed! |
