A much wider perspective, taking more of the scene would help this in terms of the challenge. As it is, the photo doesn't say to me 'street' or similar environment - it could have been taken in a cloakroom for all I know! That said, it is a pleasing portrait of the little girl and you have captured her eyes and smile very nicely.

Pretty daughter, I like her eyes in this shot. I would like the shot better if the clarinet was angled just a little to the right of the picture, showing more of the instrument and reducing the negative space. But that's just my for my eye. You have a strong image here.
