The crop has helped a lot with this shot. You might also want to visit the tutorial by idnic on moving the light because sometimes you can't get to the right angle to get the shot! Nice focus on the insect.

I like that you got a photo with an insect. The lighting does wash out some of the details making it very difficult to remedy during post-processing.

Wow, what detail you got here, they look like little cinnamon sticks. The BG is a little busy, maybe next time pick or move the flowers behind it.

Very nice focus here, just a slight move to the left or right can make it possible to avoid the brighter elements that can hurt a picture. Best not to have something brighter behind the main subject, I know my eyes will always go the the brightest spot first. Hope this helps.

the main flower looks a tad underexposed where the flowers on the sides are very over exposed. looks like harsh lighting and wide difference in shades. As mentioned before I find the background very distracting and busy. great practice, keep on trying.
