I have to say that I really do like this in color. I am not sure what the red is in the trees but I do love how all the vibrant colors seamlessly work together.

I love the roots. In fact, those would be my choice as the main focus of the shot. In that respect, I'd crop about a third off the top - give the railing some room to breath but crop above that. Right now, the bridge draws my eye first - if you crop the top a bit, my eye is drawn more toward the water and the exposed roots. And I really like whatever it is you did with processing on this one. Nice soft gentle tones and colors which suit this well.

I would have expected this to score higher than it did. Apologies for not commenting during the challenge - this was one I enjoyed viewing, because I really like the rider and that beautiful path through those trees. In fact, I'd like to ride that path through those trees! This is one that while it works in negative, I'll bet is quite nice in it's positive form as well.

I like how this is composed of vertical thirds and the center section gives the impression of a mystical haze. It took me a few seconds to notice the cyclist, which I'm unsure if it complements the rest of the composition.
