hello again,

i think you had 2 major problems with this shot and neither of them are your fault.

1st, dpc hates flowers.
2nd, dpc thinks flowers are not still life.

other than that i think you would have done well. i gave it good marks. it is a nice shot. i like the soft clouds mostly. they add to the "softness" of the tulips.

it seems a bit soft to me, and that will get you hit hard quick. i like the portrait and the lighting is pretty good. the woman has a great expression.

the only bit i really dislike is the picture in the background. it is bursting out of her head and i think that will get you dinged as quickly as everything else.

overall though i think it is pretty good.

This was probably attacked hard for DNMC. I believe I scored it lower for that reason myself. Overall the shot did not really appeal to me. The brightness of the sky seems to take away from the colors on the flowers. They just arent vibrant enough. As a general flower shot I think I would have liked to have seen a bit further down the stems and a bit less sky.
