My quiet placeby KelliComment by timfythetoo: Trading Post - Nice and simple shot here. Great gradient in the sun but overall not alot of wow factor to this (but then would alot of wow be zen?). The sky is a bit noisy. Using a noise reduction filter or even some blur to reduce that would have helped out. Mayeb tweaking the colors a bit to bring out more than the gray could have helped as well. |

Very peaceful! I like how you got the sun with the red tint and without blowing out the whole picture. That little bit of pink just above the sun really adds a nice touch in my opinion. The only nit I'd have is the overall color seems a bit gray to me - not sure if you can tweak that in post processing without changing the colors you captured in the sun or not. Composition is very good - nice execution of rule of thirds. |

My quiet placeby KelliComment by redmoon: on a personal level, this doesn't feel particularly zenlike to me... the water feels wrong for this sort of harmonious themed challenge. it's hard to put in words, really... the colours feel a bit washed out too; could do with a levels and contrast adjustment possibly. it's nice, but just lacks that special something - 5 |

A moment in timeby KelliComment by timfythetoo: Trading Post - Good overall shot here. Simple and clean composition, good lighting on the boy and nice subdued colors. There doesnt really seem to be anything that I can point out that hurt you here outside of maybe just not alot of "wow" interest in it. But you did capture what your title suggests and you caught it well. |

Gold Dust Womanby KelliComment by timfythetoo: Trading POst - Tough go of it in this challenge (at least you didnt brown right?) After reading your desription I see what you were looking for but the execution is pretty poor. Just one of those entries to look back on and see where you came up from. Hang in there and put out more pics along the lines of the jellies. You have a 6 shot in you and I feel it will be coming out soon. |

Blue on Blueby KelliComment by timfythetoo: Trading post - Once again - cool shot. Love the models. The colors are nice. I think for an improvement maybe if you had brightened up the jellies just a bit (maybe dodged their outlines a tad) they may have stood out a bit more. THere is always such cool detail in a jelly body that abit more processing could have brought it out. Also maybe a bit tighter crop on top (get rid of that floater that isnt as prominent) and you may have a bit better balance. Overall these are just minor. You have a good shot and really not a bad score to go with it. |
