Caught and Released Manarayby KelliComment by Skip: i get the idea, and can see some stopped motion, but am not getting a real feel for the image. it's just a bit too busy, and the coloring doesn't really make it pop. |

Caught and Released Manarayby KelliComment by glad2badad: Wow, a whole lot of splashing going on here! ;^) Looks like an exciting outing. I wish the manaray was more identifiable. You've stopped most of the motion - not quite fast enough on the shutter speed as I see some motion blur, but overall very good. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

zen outtakeby KelliComment by posthumous: the bird is flying yet all of its energy and attention are directed downward. this image defies the common human perception of the bird as a thing of flight and ascension. this particular bird is all about hunger at the moment. It's the same sort of twist you find in a good haiku. I'd say this is zen! and a great picture. |

Caught and Released Manarayby KelliComment by Ken: You certainly meet the challenge and motion is stopped. It may be more interesting (to me anyway) if you had pulled back a bit and given the manaray a better frame of reference. |

zen outtakeby KelliComment by Melethia: I don't think it's boring. :-) See the Critique Trading Post thread - I played with it a little. |
