I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: A very interesting image. Makes me want to know more about the back story. Despite the very heavy grain, this still works - and perhaps because of it. It adds a lot of ambiguity and imprecision to the image. It encourages the imagination.

Critical stuff: the grain ;-) I like it but others won't.

Overall: Fascinating.

The idea is in the right direction, and it is both a lovely example of minimalism and negative space. For me, though, the lighting is a bit flat overall, with everything receiving the same tonal value.
