There are those runners in the distance rounding the bend in the road, and the tantalizing hint of of many more to come. And of course they are "distance" runners. Lovely lines, rhythm and composition, simple artistry at its best. Terrific image. My eight, should have gone higher.
So vastly underappreciated it merits special notice for its distance from the head of the pack.

This makes me smile. I have been at several art show openings, and my brain has actually tried to create this scenario for me. Only a few, but a few just had art that made it all blur together into nothingness.

I think all the extra negative space would have worked better if it were smoother and with less contrast. The dark specs seem to almost hide the subject. Also, it looks like about half of the surface is out of focus. I think in this case you would have done better by cropping in allot more there by getting rid of the blurry surface.
