we the living by Ayn Randby jmritzComment by eniko: One of my favorite authors and books. I'm struggling to tie the shot to the book, perhaps I'm just not noticing something. A 4 from me. |

we the living by Ayn Randby jmritzComment by tvsometime: The man remanded: "Stop begging, comrade. Here is your banquet in a paper bag but first you must pay." I like this projection of there and then on here and now. A convincing link to the novel. I love the composition - dominated by the lines, angles and planes of the building which carom around the picture plane - even as it surrounds and compresses the individual (as in Communist society). This is one of the few in this challenge which make an intuitively inspired connection to the novel. 9 |

we the living by Ayn Randby jmritzComment by posthumous: I like this energetic angle and composition, combined with the angry micro-expression of what I believe is a fast food employee going beyond the call of duty.
The more I read about the novel, the less this seems to connect to it, but I do see a connection to the title and to the author, as we see capitalism in action, and anger repressed beneath it. 8 |

we the living by Ayn Randby jmritzComment by lunachicken: A decent candid. I get the tie to the story, but it feels forced a little. A little more on the dark scale would have helped build the story in this picture, as the only really dark spot is in the top corner and pulls my attention to it. 5 |

pleaseby jmritzComment by lei_73: If you wanted to compare the soft human skin with rough wall, it's hard to ыуу: hand is too grainy. Right side of the image is also very busy compared to blank left. |
