North Street Plymouth.jpgby jmritzComment by coolhar: Where's the Plymonth? I don't see any cars at all in it.
Seriously, if I were browsing an art show this is definitely one that would catch my eye and I'd spend some time looking at it. May I ask the dimensions of your painting? |

Somewhere over the rainbow Bluebirds flyby jmritzComment by TooCool: This is a good example of an almost great shot. I love the focus and the colors here!!! There is some very good composition. But it's too busy! If you cropped it in much closer around the steps, leaving out all of that walled in whatever you would have a much simpler and more appealing image!

Somewhere over the rainbow Bluebirds flyby jmritzComment by bruski: For me, there is almost too much to this image. I know the focal point is the girl, but she gets lost in the jumble of all the trees. I do like the composition as far as her being offset, I think, however that this shot could have benefited from a tighter crop or composition. |

Needle floating on waterby jmritzComment by Lustre: It's a good idea for a shot but the illusion seems lost in this shot. Perhaps having several needles floating and taking the shot from an angle would have better displayed the phenonomen. |

I wish her well.........by jmritzComment by LucidLotus: The title gives me the impression of someone who has broken up and gone away, and so when looking at the assembled items, they are with the light of things left behind. With that view, I really light the muted lighting and the arrangement of the items is good. I particularly like the red and blue coordination. The items in the surrounds I do find a bit distracting, mainly because I'm trying to figure out what they are, sort of get clues about who they could've belonged to - not being able to determine the nature of the items brings me out of the image a bit. Other than that, I really like the composition and subject. I hope I'm reading what you wanted folks to get out of it - if not, well it still works for me! 8 |
