These dark images always attract me and many do let me down. However, This one is an exception. I like the rich blacks and its opposite extreme. It does convey a broken spirit. Bumping up.

This picture gives me the creeps. The bright area directly above the woman's head appears ominous and threatening somehow. I don't know what it is, and that perhaps contributes to it. The flat, emotionless expression on her face contributes as well.

Overall I get a gestalt about this photo, but I cannot connect the dots, so to speak, as I am at a loss how to identify the specifics of exactly what you're trying to convey. Maybe if I mull it over for an hour or two, I'll be able to stumble across it. :)

A dark and somber photograph. The veiled look caused by the bead curtain makes it tough to discern what's going on behind but it rewards closer study. I spent a full few minutes studying this photo. I hope others do as well. Nicely done.
