A small slice of heavenby jmritzComment by LeeD: OK, I had to flip it to be sure. Good reflection image. I'm sorry, but it doesn't really feel like a "destination" image to me, and that's only because it's a reflection. Perhaps the same image (not reflected) would have more appeal for me on a personal level. |

Back seat driverby jmritzComment by Tammer: Good, solid rule of thirds entry. I like the solid background and the colors on the bird are very nice. |

Back seat driverby jmritzComment by macrothing: 5 - Interesting/unusual view. Never seen down a bird's throat before. Criticism; based on your title and the subject, I'm guessing the bird/character was to be the main focus here. In this Challenge, for me anyway, looking to the 'rule', the thing I see 'primarily' is what I commented on - down the throat. While interesting, unless this was your intent, I think it needs a different crop or focus to 'deliver' what you were setting out to do. The detail in the nose and feathers around it is good, but I would like to have seen the tip of the beak in focus as well. This has potential, especially with the colors (though the dark background I am not sure on), but I think you need to either 'zoom out', or different angle. |
