Your background really killed you here, the strong contrast of blown whites steals gradations of skin tones that ought to make up the power of this image, instead all we get is flat unflattering light. Interesting framing, I love the expression and the pearls compliment the reflections in her eyes, with good lighting this would have done quite well.

Too close, better lighting would have helped, detail is lost in the draker areas, and the detail is what this photo is about as the actual door knob isnt too interesting.
