A belated congrats on the 4th place finish. Very well done portrait - love the smoke coming out of the barrel of the gun (reading your notes I just nod my head at what we photographers do to get the look right;-) ) The look is very convincing of a 'don't mess with me, get off my farm!'. Very much has the feel of a scene from an old Western movie.

Nice light that lights the scene. Love the quiet understanding between the cowboy and his horse - they are indeed partners. Very nicely captured.
