A very nice understatement. While the hue is not that strong it does contrasts well with the stone's monochromatic hues and keeps the sense of distance which would be lost if the color of the house were push up.

This one is beautiful. There is a story here and emotion in the image and its title. It looks just a touch over-sharpened to me. But all in all a wonderful image.

Nice use of deapth of field. I think this really narrow dof is sometimes over used but not here. It really adds to the effect.
