Star Lights (1.5:1)by BeagleboyComment by Jutilda: WOW - is this new??? Unbelievable. So stunning in its simplicity. That single star (Venus probably) really makes this shot. The velvet of the overall tones - HOLY SMOKES!!!!!! Adding to favs right now. |

Star Lights (1.5:1)by BeagleboyComment by JH: Beautiful colours - The opposition of the light from the lighthouse and the star works really well. As does the green light on the blue background. Good composition.
I'd like to see a bit more detail/sharpness in the sea, but this could be a result of resizing. |

For Saleby BeagleboyComment by sonnyh: To me this photo drew me in on the thumbnail and while I like it a lot there seems to be something else that could be done to it to give it a little punch. I do like it very much though but I just couldn't give it a ten. So a nine will have to do. |

For Saleby BeagleboyComment by ubique: This is terrific because of the contrast between the two elements of the scene; the soft, organic forms of the farmland, versus the hard, surgical lines of the car. And the For Sale sign adds a potential story for the restless mind to grapple with. Lovely B&W processing, too - the representation of different parts of the tonal range seems to be deliberately and appropriately uneven (I mean you seem to have used something a bit more sophisticated than boosted contrast across the board to achieve the dramatic effect that you have). 8. |
