Powerby paully2k1Comment by itsaghostcar: A telegraph pole isn't the most interesting of subjects. It looks like you've used an internal flash here, which is ok as long as you know what it's limits are. The flash has barely reached the top of the pole where the main interest of the photo lies. If your flash did fully reach the top of the pole, it may have been better to zoom in to eliminate the brightness at the bottom. |

Powerby paully2k1Comment by Kimbly: I like the composition. Glad you didn't try to match the power lines to the edge of the frame. The fact that it was done at nighttime really sets it apart from other telephone pole photos and makes it a bit less busy. I think I'd like to see it in black and white though. The odd greenish cast at the bottom and the browner elements on top detract a bit. |

Powerby paully2k1Comment by FranziskaLang: Angle is nice. The white cable and the background is a little too washed out, with the top of the picture a little too dark. |

Powerby paully2k1Comment by jeffw: You need some lighting at the top of the pole. As it is, your flash is not designed for that distance and so the bottom is washed out with too much light, while the top lies in darkness. |
