I think this is a really clever idea -- would have been "mundane" right side up (although still tricky) -- but upside down adds a great deal to it. I would have cropped it/shot it so the bird hung perfectly straight down the column of coins instead of just to the left. The focus seems a little soft on the bird and coins -- but it also looks like maybe your camera isn't quite so high end, so maybe that's the problem there. A light shining on the front of the coins to bring out detail would be nice. The colors of the picture seem to be a little green -- but that's assuming the wall at the back is white. Finally, a different background besides the wall and table would bring this up another notch and change it from isn't this cool what I balanced, to isn't this a great shot...
