I love these sort of images. What are the exposure details on this one Jeff. Did you find that the longer exposure created noise in the image or was it negligable. Where is this place?

Great image Jeff. As you would have noticed on my profile, I love the sunset shots, and this one is pretty amazing. Just a pity that the top cloud did not fit entirely in frame. Still, that does not detract from the overall impressiveness of this sunset.

I think what you are seeing is the shore line getting closer to the right of the photo. which gives the impression of a off level horizon.

wow, i love this image! really beautiful! there's a tiny thing that bothers me, the horizion tilts just a weeee bit :) which can easily be adjusted..

I would do what JunieMoon suggested and maybe go a bit further... try changing to a sunset tone and spotlighting the staircase... see what it does to the focus of the shot... JAS :D

The image does have potential. Perhaps a bit mor saturation and contrast would give it a bit more zip. You may have too much detail, as well. Perhaps cropping out much of the foreground, and focusing more on the twist of the stairs near the top. You could easily clone out the foreground branch which kind of arches over the stairs and would be too noticable with a tighter crop.
