Leavingby nickybComment by bvy: Technically it's not perfect, and for that reason, I like it even more. Very raw, very real -- a refreshing change from glamour shots of owls and eagles. |

Leavingby nickybComment by bobnospum: Often a good rule is to leave room for the subject to move into in the frame. In this case however, I like the position and framing of the subject. However the lack of sharp focus on the bird and large areas of bright white are holding this image back. |

Leavingby nickybComment by MaryO: Interesting effect. I might play with burning on the head a bit more to bring out those details, although as it is it kind of looks like he's flying into a supernatural ether and will vanish completely into it momentarily. |

The Brave Crusaderby nickybComment by MaryO: Background is very busy and there are a lot of competing colors here. I think the story would be told more effectively if each army consisted of a single color, there was a solid background, it was cropped tighter, and maybe even done in B&W, besides. Shallow DOF is just not enough to make my eye go to that one "soldier" and instantly get the story.
Sorry; just not working for me. |

The Brave Crusaderby nickybComment by Yo_Spiff: Grog see brave warriors ready to battle. Much blood will be shed in dining room today. Grog give you best advice. Warriors not win on bravery alone. Must have large, heavy club and fearsome look in eyes. Menacing snarl good too. Make enemy tribe very afraid. When enemy tribe then go change to clean loincloths, you steal all females from them. Grog is great maker-of-strategy. You will thank Grog and mark comment helpful or Grog give you his female. |
