This is a very nice landscape shot. I really like the vibrant capture of color between the blues and the greens here. The only issue with this image is that it doesn't completely meet the challenge. I am unsure which plant life is the main focus of this image.

Is it what appears to be a small stand of trees to the right of the image? Is it the 'stump/roots' collection in the middle right of the image? Is it the grasses that are all over the scene?

I would score this higher with a clearly defined focus on a particular plant life.

A fantastic and cool interpretation with creative lighting. Look at that: here you have a circle of light, some waves of paper with good diagonals and such warm overtones. A winner !
