I'm enjoying being part of the DPL "First 10" Challenge. Yours is photo #8 in my random voting stream.

I'm not sure what to think of this. It seems to be stuck between abstract and representational. Interesting lines and arcs, and an attention grabbing band of sharp focus that catches the rachis nicely along its path. Add a bit of mystery from the left frame and a couple of handful of sensor dust spot, and you've got this enigma of a photo. Did I mention I'm not sure what t think of this?

The texture overlay hurts rather than helps this image. Likewise the super contrasty processing which has left the image riddled with white specks.
