Sentinel Power by mrbig65Comment by Luci11e: I like your thinking on this. I also like the black and greys - then of course that splash of orange. Good work |

Sentinel Power by mrbig65Comment by LandzEnca: Far from my definition of a sentinel, both literally and figuratively. But I like how the yellow/orange pops out above the neutral grey/black bg. I also like how you controlled your exposure on the lamp. |

My New ; J.W Young,, Fly Wheelby mrbig65Comment by Youngie: Something different than "just the front tire of a car" nice !!!
As soon as I noticed this challenge, a voice inside me said, "OK, this is a challenge where everyone will just shoot the front tire of a sports car or something"
Nice to see something different than expected . |

My New ; J.W Young,, Fly Wheelby mrbig65Comment by spiritualspatula: I would have voted this higher simply for the fact that you chose a very different subject matter, but there is much more to this photo than that. The angling of the reel and, really, just the overall composition, is very nice. Though it's cramped, and busy, it feels so complete and perfect in its arrangement. The converging fishing line is nice, pulling us out of the frame towards the rodtip. I could definitely see this in Field & Stream or Fly Fisherman. |

My New ; J.W Young,, Fly Wheelby mrbig65Comment by Garry: Really appreciate this different take on the challenge! Wonderful thinking outside of the proverbial box! Think it would've scored a point higher for me if the crop was much tighter on the wheel. Wonderful picture nonetheless! |
