I am pleased you tried and I see elements of some nice sections here like the leaf in the top right corner so well focudsed and maybe a little more of that leaf to have given this image a bit more depth
I also like the DOF background The blow outs in the foreground distract from the other parts of this image...

Pretty colors and bokeh. I think if the left half were cropped off to create a square, you would have a stronger image, featuring the beautiful focus on the wet leaf and the graceful curves in the lower right corner.

A lovely Autumnal feel to this image, I particularly like the use of 16/9. despite the well focused and lovely judjed saturation I think this image is too uniform. Funny to say with so much texture I know, but a basket, or a knife, something else to break up the uniformity would punch out the interest.
for all that I love this image.
