I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: I like the sense of life here and the quirky nature of the street scene. I also like how your eye has picked something out of the hustle and bustle and subjected it to photographic scrutiny. Without your agency we, like the passers-by, would have strolled past. That's what makes this image really - you pull us up, make us stop, make us look and remind us of the little details that make our macro-reality.

Critical stuff: Technically, it could be a tad brighter.

Overall: An interesting image- one that I'm glad I've given some time to.

No pics please... I'm not sure if I'm amused by your shunning of such idiotic expectations or annoyed at your blatant lack of respect for them... Well, since I'm middle of the road on that, and this is a pretty middle of the road image IMHO, you get a 5 today.

Nothing wrong with a snapshot! I think this has captured the moment just right. Ok the processing could have been better but you achieved the moment.
The majority on DPC only want to see perfect, pin sharp photos and dont 'look' at images that fit that category. They should open their eyes and look at photos and see what is in them.

This appears to be an ill-composed snapshot with no apparent thought given to subject matter, focal point, color or tonal treatment, sharpening, or interest to the viewer.

A cute backyard scene, but it comes off to me as just a snapshot. Watch your JPEG compression when you save your entry. At a 63K file size, you had a lot more overhead on this. Compression kills detail. Always use the least compression (largest file size) you can and still fit in under the challenge limit.
