Nice subject. I feel the lighting is very un-Weston like. Looks like a direct flash was used which is creating some harsh shadows and reflections. I believe Weston mostly went for natural-style light on his still lifes.

Nice. I love the rich blacks, and although not everything is sharply in focus, I think enough is for it to echo Weston's style. What's missing in my opinion is enough balance between the lights and the darks. Plus the pinpoints of light reflecting off the shell really detract and the Westonness.

Great looking shell. I would like this more if it was brighter, on my monitor it looks too dark.

I see red too. Why only 643 pixels while 800 allowed? little harsh lighting may be due to direct flash. Goos depth of field.
