Bullets, up closeby DougTannerComment by Paul: I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: I really like the composition here, the curve of the belt offers great balance to the image. I like the texture of the metal too - this is well matched by your monochrome processing.
Critical stuff: given the limited interest that resides in the periphery of the image, a vignette may have helped to keep the eye on target.
Overall: An interesting image, not least because you have managed to create an artistic near-abstract from a subject of such menace. |

Bullets, up closeby DougTannerComment by giantmike: Glad you explained what this was in the title, I had a hard time figuring it out. Are these 50 cal bullets? This is a pretty cool viewpoint, and the B&W shows all the great details in the casings. |

Bullets, up closeby DougTannerComment by spiritualspatula: Great point of view. I think the title was warranted, since you've captured them in a unique and interesting way. Nice BW conversion, really like the strong contrast and the deep shadows. |

Oh, a train!by DougTannerComment by Senay: Greetings from the Critique Club!
Super Dog! Very interesting photo with a lot going on. It takes more than just a glance to fully appreciate your picture. And I think that's what might have hurt you in voting. Between the graffiti, the train, lights in the background and the flowing river (nicely captured by the way!) it's a lot to take in with one glance.
From looking at your profile it looks like these type of night shots are your specialty. Kepp up the good work!
