I couldn't figure out what this was at first--and I hate to have to think too hard ;>. Maybe a slight change of shooting angle would have made the knife stand out more.

too much unfocused knife and too much white space for my taste

A shame to do that to one of the most sucessful cellular phones ever (at least in Iceland), but great shot, love it!

Greetings from the Critique Club!

Hey, bud... I really like this shot and it definitely shows complexity. Just trying to plug a USB into my computer gets me confused and with this board, I can't even imagine! The thing that hits you right away when you see this is the color. It is beautiful with neon violets, reds, greens, and blues. It is a pleasing image to take a long look at as the colors are smooth and harmonious. It is amazing how you "Painted with Light" and your skill must be truly exceptional.

However, there are a couple of key problems in it that brought it down to the score that it got. The first thing is minor, but it jumps out at me...everything is equally exposed except for one part which is very blown out. I don't know how this could have been avoided, but it is a blaring problem to me. The second thing is that there is not one specific focal point (with the exception of the colors). This makes it just a bit harder to really understand what is going on in the shot.

Still a good shot with great lighting techinically and visually. I would suggest trying it again doing your best not to reflect it a lot off of the metal where it is blown out. Unfortunately, solely because of that you were voted down to the low 5's.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns feel free to PM me.

This photo, for some reason, really turned me on. I didn't know how well it would place, but I handed out an extra 10 on this one hoping to see it score well. Congratulations! And thanks for showing us that even the simple things in life can be beautiful.

Super shot, and I agree with those who suggested cloning out the sun thing on the lower left. Just the wall and window is enough for a fantastic picture.

A classic concept made even better by the additon of a second element. (The small sun). Fab colors, and very striking composition. 10

I really like the simplicity here, both with the subject and colors. Nice work
