This looks somewhat like a selective focus shot, posisbly with the lensbaby. I think the sweet spot of the focus should be on the chair or on the person. Here the sweet spot is somewhat off into the bottom right corner. I think the out of focus area does a good job of shading the harsh lighting of the afternoon sun.
