Surreal color works for the unreal rendition of beach waves reduced to alliterative lines. The minimalist reduction reaches closer to our core than a realist rendition.

the sky might be thought of as negative space. or it's almost as easy to think of the sea as negative space. your title suggests the entire photo is negative space. and even the negative sea is wiped out further by the long exposure blurring it. This is like reality with an eraser rubbed on it a few times... blurring the details but enhancing the color and feeling.

Wow...this has so many things working for it and yet to me, they are all ruined by the person in green. The whole symmetry and geometry of the shot just gone. Absolutely beautiful location.
