Go tell it to the mountain ~ James Baldwinby NeatComment by daisydavid: Well, thems mountains, and good ones. That connects physically but not on the social level of the novel - understandably bit of an ask anyway. Maybe a dark human silhouette raised in prayer or praise could have done it, maybe even just a hand? Nice landscape all the same.5. |

(I'm sure you've saved even better image for the "Doors..." challenge). |

Go tell it to the mountain ~ James Baldwinby NeatComment by Garry: This is simply beautiful. Nice shot...really stresses the size and immensity of the mountains. Wish the crop was a little more water, and a little less sky. Feels unbalanced, with the empty sky not providing much. |

Go tell it to the mountain ~ James Baldwinby NeatComment by Bear_Music: The title of the novel is "Go tell it on the Mountain", and it explores the role of the Christian church in the lives of African-Americans. The referenced mountain is Mount Sinai, where Moses brought down the commandments.
So for me, this otherwise charming, misty mountainscape is sort of irrelevant to the challenge, and I'm giving it a 5. It's not engaging me at any higher level. |
