So ... good for you to enter this at DPC. I don't mind the grain, the low contrast, or the composition. But it's just a little too dark for my taste. I don't mean I'd make it bright, and I can see all the way to the edges, but overall it strikes me as too dark. Maybe a little more contrast would've brightened at least the center, making it easier to see the subject, while keeping the overall somber feel?

This has potential to be a nice shot for the family album. I feel the processing on her face is a bit much. It almost has a 'plastic' look to it. And her eyes look a bit flat. Try a re-edit and sharpen her eyes some. Just my thoughts and I hope this helps.

The first thing that strikes me about this is the sense of her moving through the frame. I love the long flowing hair and the hint of a smile but her eyes - that look of love me now, catch me while you can - they sparkle with life. Nice Ben entry.
