Reflectiveby NeatComment by nam: This is one that I kept bumping. I really like the strong contrast between the shadow and light areas - the leaves and reflections especially just seem to be dancing. I could use a bit more detail in the highlights on the trunks. One of my top 10. |

the color of griefby NeatComment by grahamgator: I studied the image a while and finally found the grief; I think that personifies jmritz style (finding the meaning behind the image). Voted earlier and bumping up. |

the color of griefby NeatComment by mitalapo: puzzling (maybe a man sitting on a chair as seen from the back?) The grain and the yellow cast make me feel like this is a beach scene. I can sure believe this is a jmritz original. |

The Winter of our discontentby NeatComment by tome: I gave this an 8. We seem to have the same affinities for tonality, blur and running in the rain looks very natural. As the Tourist said, it resonated.
Didn't like the title much, though :). |

The Winter of our discontentby NeatComment by posthumous: the image you entered was the best of the 3, imho. I gave you a 6. But on most days I would have scored this higher and given it a comment. I think the nature of the challenge made this image less surprising than it would be normally. |

The Winter of our discontentby NeatComment by nam: Sorry, Anita. I scored this a 3. I didn't even think of expert vs advanced vs basic or minimal when I scored this challenge and I had no idea whose any of them were - never do. Now that I see the blue version (which I would have scored several points higher, maybe a 6) and know that the blur in the center is a person with an umbrella, I actually enjoy the one you entered more. Guess I'm just not imaginative and sophisticated enough to get this on a couple of passes through. |
