I gave this an 8. We seem to have the same affinities for tonality, blur and running in the rain looks very natural. As the Tourist said, it resonated.

the image you entered was the best of the 3, imho. I gave you a 6. But on most days I would have scored this higher and given it a comment. I think the nature of the challenge made this image less surprising than it would be normally.

Sorry, Anita. I scored this a 3. I didn't even think of expert vs advanced vs basic or minimal when I scored this challenge and I had no idea whose any of them were - never do. Now that I see the blue version (which I would have scored several points higher, maybe a 6) and know that the blur in the center is a person with an umbrella, I actually enjoy the one you entered more. Guess I'm just not imaginative and sophisticated enough to get this on a couple of passes through.

Thought I'd comment here instead of your thread. I gave this an 8 (the highest score I gave in this challenge.) I liked the image and your processing. I felt it fit the challenge, felt like it represented "in the rain." The blur works well in this image in that it left me to imagine what was going on, it allows me to develop a story for the image. This compared to Blue Monday, I probably would have scored Blue Monday higher because I would have associated the blue tone with cold, as is the rain... Overall, this is a great image.

Personally, I don't judge an image based on if it was processed to the fullest extent of the rule set (expert editing). I vote on how it resonates with me...

Images resonate with some people, they don't with others. In the bell curve, more people liked this image than those that didn't like it so much... So it's a winner :)

Wow! 16 votes under 4, seems a bit harsh. What I would be focused on is the 11 comments with an average of 8.4. It is a wonderful image.
