Steps of solitudeby NeatComment by Abra: What a lovely and emotive image you have produced. The strong whites and blacks contrasts wonderfully with the greyness of the person. Well done! |

My sonby NeatComment by sjhuls: I saw your thread about getting a 7 and so I thought rather than comment in that thread I would on this photo instead. I gave you a 7 I remember hesitating on this photo for a minute, I liked it I wanted to give it an 8 but just something was missing. What it is for me is the eyes. For me it is the most important part of the image, I don't necessarily mind that there are no catch lights but they are dark. The light hits his nose and cheeks and then fades from there. I don't think you wanted the nose to be the first thing someone looks at when they view this photo. So you needed to find some way to get more light into the eyes, either by lighting or by editing.
At any rate if you would like a 7 sometimes feedback is helpful before submitting an image. You may already be a part of a group. But if you would like feedback I am available most of the time. |

My sonby NeatComment by blindjustice: Such seriousness! and great processing. It may be my monitor but you found the sweet spot for the right amount of "blue" tones in the black and white. |
