For Six and a Halfby giantmikeComment by MadMan2k: I think a little bit wider angle shot would have worked better. The things at the top and bottom that are cropped off might have been better either left out or included all the way. |

Thirty Degree Streamby giantmikeComment by damjanev: There are rare situations where the centered horizon works well. This is not one of them :-( It distracts me from the other elements in the image. As with the other elements, Adams used lots of dodge and burn in developing the print in order to produce the characteristic dramatic tonal range he is famous for. Most of his famous images are processed during development. I would prefer a processing in which the vegetation on the left is a tad darker (one zone blow current) and the stream in the same zone as the snow. |
