I can see how if you knew and loved the dog, those eyes would definitely convey the emotion of hope for an illicit scrap. In terms of the photo though, I would score it more highly with a different composition, possibly from anothr angle or with more context in the photo. I would like it better with sharper focus and greater DOF. The dog's face would be more expressive, IMO, if it were lighter and if I could see the eyes more clearly defined. The hope is in the eyes. Accentuating that would give more emotional punch, I think.

This shot is good for the theme. But it lacks on technical aspects. The light, scene, focus and exposure are very poor. Increse the though time of a shot next time, thinking about it.

This photograph could have really benefitted from a sharper focus and better lighting. A source from the viewers left of the dog would have done wonders.

cute: out-of-focus-dog. (Lab+Golden Retriever mix? Is she about two?), but the meat looks like someone's liver ripped out of their body. I'd like better lighting and a better angle.

the use of flash killed this shot... could have got a better shot without flash, using a smaller aperture 5-6 i guess and focussing on the nose of the dog to keep the dog and meat both farily in focus...

The colors are not so vivid, a modification of the saturation probably will get a better photo for this challenge.
