It works fairly well as a high-key shot, but the intrusive highlights sort of chop of part of his forehead. Depending on how low the ISO was and if it was shot in RAW, you might've been able to keep that from happening and still kept the pure white background. The detail in the eyes is good, but they could probably have been brightened a bit, since eyes tend to make a portrait.

Not sure that BW works as well on this one. The Frisbee almost disappears in the shot leaving a strange looking pose... All in all, I think its a good shot.
