Lens flare is too distracting.

The lens reflections of the sun are a little disappointing - but probably very hard to avoid with this kind of shot. Your composition is quite good but might have looked a little better with slightly less sky (ie: move horizon to 1/3 from top of photo instead of closer to middle).

Washed out sky to the max here. Sunflares too. A better day would've done you better. Maybe a polarizer would've minimized that, but as bright as the sky is, I don't think even that would make the exposure right. Framing this differently would've been better too. I'd have put the big mountain on the extreme left and captured some of the differences in elevation and terrain, and maybe got away from shooting directly into the sun. Its never an easy thing to judge though without actually being there. - Inspzil

(1) COMPOSITION (CONTENT) â I really like this capture. Though you got a few negative comments about the bushes (trees) in the lower left, I disagree. I think they help add balance to the overall shot. They also give some perspective that would be missed if they were missing. If they were bright red (or something) Iâd agree â but they are not. I also love the placement of the bird against the sky-cloud boundary.
(2) BACKGROUND â Excellent. Everything to the right could be considered ânegative spaceâ. Well done.
(3) CAMERA WORK ,TECHNICAL â Excellent. Did you use a polarizer?
(4) DIGITAL PROCESSING ,TECHNICAL â No recommended changes.
(5) MY OPINION ON THE PHOTO â I really like this. The colors are great, and the bird is very well placed in the photo.

Love how you captured his face. Can't say much bad. The bird captures your eye and holds it there. Good one. 8 PTL

Nice action captured, but for me the tree in the bottom right really detracts from the overall image. I would have liked a tighter crop, kind of visually releasing the bird from the limitations of the earth.
