Look Ma, Two Wheelsby Luci11eComment by glad2badad: That stunt is really, REALLY, stupid!!! Someone is going to end up dead or severely injured. As for meeting the challenge, I don't really see this as half of anything (Challenge description: "Take a photo of something, but only HALF of your subject should be visible in the photo."). |

A Branch and A Birdby Luci11eComment by hahn23: Your concept of negative space is good. The sky with cloud texture is the kind of background which causes the eye to search for the subject. And, one's eye immediately moves to the branch and bird. The silhouetted bird is placed fairly close to the left margin. It would have been much better composition to have used one of the intersections of the thirds' lines to place the bird in a much more eye-pleasing composition. Silhouetted images can be very effective. The bird and branch are a bit small in the frame to be good silhouettes. I do understand that a zoom and crop would have diminished your negative space concept. But, it's a trade-off. Whether the bird has detail, or not, the subject is too distant. |

Look Ma, Two Wheelsby Luci11eComment by giantmike: While a good interpretation of "half" this isn't meeting with the contest description, so I am forced to vote it down. But a nice action shot you have here. |

Watching The Sunsetby Luci11eComment by expatdawn: When setting this up, I would have moved the pine needles so they aren't in front of the pinecone. The bokeh on here is great. |
