"The lunatic, the lover, and the poet, are of imagination all compact"

Comment by KDO:
Well, heck! I am an English teacher who writes horror. How am I not going to love this? The skull facing to the left (past) on a copy of Shakespeare's works, with a cracked spine, no less. (Alas, poor Yorick...) The beautifully matched motif of hatched lines on the glass and the bottle. The neck of the wine bottle out of frame. With all that going on and my eye is still drawn to the wine glass as the perfect focal point for this challenge. I would hang this on my wall. IMHO, Stunning Shot! 10

Something has gone badly wrong with the eyes here, pity.

I hate to criticize a good portrait, but on my screen her facial skin looks very plastic, like over PP... She's too young and pretty to need that. Other than that I think it's a LOVELY shot, the red eye is awesome!

Comment by Nicht:
Interesting reflections, nice lighting, not the most interesting photo (but I'm not a huge fan of pointless still life). The only critique I have is that the book could be the other way around. Now it's upside down.

Comment by BrennanOB:
A small shift in the angle to get the arm and fist contacting the earth ( which is the power of this shot) out from in front of the body and knee, would give this a touch more power. The clssic super hero "I draw power from the earth" pose is left knee down, right knee up, right fist on ground, right hand doing something important, 7/8ths or 3/4 view. Once you shoot it, you will see variants everywhere from comic books to the opening credits of Colbert Report.

Comment by BrennanOB:
The fog effect looks a bit too localized for me here. How would it look if you pushed it out to the corners and had the density fall off towards the middle in a bit softer manner?

Nice to see an edgier, darker-themed photo being recognized, Josh. Nicely done!
